Google Summer of Code 2026 (GSoC) $1650 to $6600 Stipend


 How GSoC Works

GSoC is a 12-week program where participants work on a coding project for an opensource organization. The process involves: 1. Proposal Submission: Interested contributors propose project ideas to participating open-source organizations. 2. Mentorship: Accepted contributors are paired with mentors from their chosen organization. 3. Coding Period: Participants spend 12 weeks coding, learning, and collaborating with their mentors and community. 4. Evaluation & Stipend: Upon successful completion of the project, contributors receive a stipend.


Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for GSoC 2026, you must meet the following requirements: Be 18 years or older at the time of registration. Be a student or an open-source beginner. Be eligible to work in your country of residence. Not reside in a U.S.-embargoed country. 

You can only be accepted as a GSoC contributor a maximum of one time. Application Process Interested applicants can register and submit up to three project proposals on the official GSoC website.
