Enhancing the Education of Needy kids with Books and Financial Help

Shortly before receiving her gift of hope as a good will endowment from the investor of ASEED Mr. Waindim Timothy Ntam, Helen a pupil, of Government Bilingual School Belo sat dejected and looked slightly older than her age. Her long legs seem to stretch her in to a world of her own. “This pair of worn out blue gown I am wearing and sleepers where offered to her some years ago by a Good Samaritan ” Helen said. The Nieman Foundation Fellowship

The Nieman Foundation is offering some fellowships to journalists to undertake some training at Harvard University aimed at inspiring journalists towards a greater ambition for their industry and craft. The Knight Visiting Nieman Fellowships is expected to help news innovators to develop their craft. Earth Journalism Conference Offers Fellowship to Journalists from Developing Countries

Working journalists and indigenous people from developing countries are invited to apply for the Earth Journalism Conference Fellowship. The conference will take place on December 11 2017 in Cancun, Mexico. Participants will be expected to take part in a day long workshop on biodiversity issues and tips for reporting on the hot topics for negotiations. The fellowship covers travel expenditure and accommodation/lodging. Applicants must have a record reporting on environmental issues, be fluent in English and agree to produce stories for their home media organisation. Gates Cambridge Scholarship (Fully Funded)

The Gates Cambridge Scholarship offers outstanding international candidates an opportunity to undertake postgraduate studies across a range of disciplines at the University of Cambridge. Prospective students must have outstanding intellectual capacity, leadership potential, and a commitment to improving the lives of others. Applicants should be applying to pursue either a masters or research programme in any discipline. Tips for Parents to Better Prepare Kids for School

The new academic year begins today and many parents are running helter skelter in an attempt to get their children ready for school. I have decided to list a few things parents could do to help their children get a brilliant start. For those who've not heard yet, I have now published a book on raising brilliant kids and it is available to anyone. 1) By now, you should have prepared your children's wardrobe, study area and room ready for studies. Get their uniforms, shoes, books, pens, pencils, study table, bag, water bottle, lunch pack, and all that's needed for the first day at school. Organise everything and get them a shave or a superb plait so that they would appear super neat and cute on the first day and for the rest of the term days. Appearing neat at school could boost self-confidence for some children. 2) Think ahead by checking out your children's study curriculum. If you can, start working ahead of the class.
