The application deadline for the 2025 World Bank Yokohama National University (YNU) scholarship was February 20, 2025. The scholarship is administered by the World Bank through the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJWBGSP).

Eligibility & Application Process (JJ/WBGSP)

Eligibility:

  • Must be a citizen of a developing World Bank member country.
  • No dual citizenship with a developed country.
  • Good health required.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) earned at least 3 years before applying.
  • Must be employed full-time in development-related work.

Application Process:

  1. Download and complete the application from the World Bank website.
  2. Update CV and write a personal statement.
  3. Gather official academic transcripts.
  4. Provide English proficiency test results (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent).
  5. Obtain two letters of recommendation.
