Purdue University Freshman Scholarships in the USA
To assist students academically, Purdue University has come forward with it freshman scholarship for 2021-2022. These grants will be applicable to incoming students at the university for any degree coursework for the current year. The students accepted at the university will get enormous options of financial aids to apply and get support. These grants can be utilized by the recipients to cover their tuition cost, fee, living allowances or any other expenses.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must go through the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship
- Open to domestic students include U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, permanent resident aliens, and aliens lawfully present in and able to establish domicile in the United States per federal immigration laws.
- International students with F, J, and some other visa types will not be eligible.
Benefits of the Programs
The scholarship will be awarded as follows:
- TRUSTEES SCHOLARSHIP
$16,000 per year (nonresidents)
$10,000 per year (Indiana residents) - PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP
$10,000 per year (nonresidents)
$4,000 per year (Indiana residents) - MARQUIS SCHOLARSHIP
$4,000 per year
How to Apply for the Scholarship
To apply for the scholarships, fellows are needed to follow the below steps:
Step 1: Apply for Admission
Interested students who complete their application by the November 1 Early Action deadline are automatically considered for university-wide merit scholarships. Students’ application must be complete (all required items received).
Step 2: Submit Required Documents
- High school Diploma Certificate
- School transcripts already available
- Transcripts from prior school (only if requested)
- Post-Secondary Transcription
- Official survey results
- Start / Course Vitae
- Grades in core academic coursework and strength of your high school curriculum (in the context of courses available at your school)
- Grades in coursework that is critical to success in your intended major
- Application essay and Purdue-specific questions
- SAT or ACT score
- Recommendation
- An evidence of commitment to the academic program to which you applied
- Must submit evidence of leadership, service, and other accomplishments; activities, and awards
- Must submit pppersonal background and experiences
- Information provided by students’ high school
Entry Requirements
- Aspirant must meet the general country or study curriculum entry requirement.
- Fellow must demonstrate English language skills and meet the general admission criteria following the country/curriculum you studied.
- Self-reported high school grades*
- Self-reported ACT or SAT scores*
- Proof of English proficiency (for citizens of non-English speaking countries)
- The application fee (or qualified fee waiver)
