Fort Hays State University Scholarships for International Students in the US



International students looking to attend a university in the US with the help of scholarships can now apply for funds at Fort Hays State University. The University is offering scholarships to incoming and transfer students from worldwide. The international students accepted at the University for any educational degree will be eligible for the grants. These funds will help out students in accomplishing their degree at the University and pay for high-cost studies purposes.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must meet up with the mentioned eligibility criteria to be applicable for the scholarship:

  • The aspirant must be an international student.
  • Open to First-time, full-time, on-campus students
  • A first-time freshman is defined as a student who has not attended another school after graduating from high school. Fort Hays State University should be a student’s first University in which they enrol.
  • Open to New, on-campus transfer* students.
  • Scholarships are granted based on ACT/SAT score and GPA

Benefits of the Programs

The scholarship will be awarded as follows:

  • FRESHMEN SCHOLARSHIP
    Award: $1,500 to $3,750 per year
    Renewable: Yes, for three additional years of eligibility criteria is maintained
  • TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIP 
    Award: $500 to $1,500, which also be renewable

How to Apply for the Scholarship

To apply for the scholarships, fellows are needed to follow these steps:

Step 1: Apply for Admission

No need to apply. The scholarship is automatically awarded if the student meets the criteria. Applicants need to apply for admission at the University through an online process. Students accepted to the University will be applicable for the funds.

Step 2: Submit Required Documents

  • High school Diploma Certificate
  • School transcripts already available
  • Transcripts from prior school (only if requested)
  • Post-Secondary Transcription
  • Official survey results
  • Start / Course Vitae

Entry Requirements

  • Fellows must meet the general country or study curriculum entry requirement.
  • You must demonstrate English language skills and meet the general admission criteria following the country/curriculum you studied.
  • Must have a cumulative 2.25 or higher GPA on a 4.00 scale, OR.
  • Achieve an ACT composite of 21 or higher, OR a minimum combined SAT ERW+M score of 1080.
