Rhodes Trust is awarding 90 Fully Funded Masters Scholarships for African and International students at University of Oxford, United Kingdom, 2020. The scholarship covers; tuition fees, living stipend, health coverage, travel costs, settling in and international conferences grants

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP:

The Rhodes Trust Scholarships program is an annual award given to highly talented students from eligible African and other countries around the world to pursue master’s degrees at the University of Oxford.
Established in 1902, the Rhodes scholarships is one of the most prestigious international scholarship programme.
Over 90 scholars are selected from 20 Rhodes constituencies (64 countries) worldwide. Moreover, selected scholars come from diverse backgrounds and interests who demonstrate leadership potential aimed at changing the world’s future.
The Rhodes Trust is open to young persons is made without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, marital status, ethnic origin, religion, colour, social background, caste or disability.

EAST AFRICA:

Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan & Burundi

WEST AFRICA:

Benin, Cape Verde, Burkina Faso, Guinea, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mauritania, Mali, Nigeria, the island of St Helena, Senegal, Niger, São Tomé & Principe Sierra Leone and Togo.

SOUTHERN AFRICA:

Botswana, South Africa, Lesotho, Namibia, Malawi, Swaziland (eSwatini), Zambia & Zimbabwe.

SCHOLARSHIPS OFFER:

The Rhodes Trust Scholarship offers the items listed below;

  • Full tuition fees for the course of studies
  • Monthly living stipend of £1,260 per month
  • Travel costs
  • Settling in allowance of £225
  • Access the UK’s National Health Service
  • Oxford application fees
  • Costs for international conferences and field work

HOW TO APPLY:

First check your country eligibility requirements, then you will need to submit the following documents;
  • Academic transcript of the previous Bachelors degree
  • Recent curriculum vitae or resumé
  • A personal statement
  • Proof of age, birth certificate and passport
  • English Language proficiency proof where English is not the first language
  • Photograph
  • A List of referees
