Women Scholarship for Peace: Global South (Fully Funded)

The United Nations office for Disarmament Affairs in partnership with 26 other bodies are organising online and in-person training courses on disarmament, peace and development. 140 candidates will be selected from a list of nominated countries some of which are: Cameroon, Gambia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Liberia, Madagascar, Lesotho and others (Please check link below for complete list)

Purpose of the course: introduces candidates to key conceptual and practical aspects of disarmament, non-proliferation, and some issues related to development more of which is explained on their website.

Number of places available: 140

Requirement:

Gender: female
University graduate or equivalent degree of higher education.
Age: 22-32
You are not expected to have previous knowledge on disarmament and development.

Benefit: travel for five day in person workshop and travel costs would be catered for.  Certificate upon completion, and daily subsistence allowance.
