The University of Canterbury Scholarships for International Students

 The University of Canterbury is offering a range of scholarships for international students intending to enrol in the undergraduate or postgraduate study for the year 2021-2022. The applications are open for both students in New Zealand or off-shore. 

The university will be distributing great funds to deserving candidates for their undergraduate or postgraduate degrees. The recipient can use the grant to overcome their financial barriers and accomplish their higher education with ease.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must meet up with the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship:

  • The applicants must be an international student.
  • Must be currently studying at secondary level in New Zealand
  • Must be currently studying at UCIC but intend to enrol at UC the following year
  • Must be planning on studying an undergraduate degree at UC but are still overseas
  • Must be planning on studying any postgraduate degree at UC but are still overseas

The scholarship will be awarded as follows:

  • UC offers over $20 million in scholarships and prizes annually to help fund our students’ study.
  • UC offers a range of scholarships, many recognising factors like academic excellence or sporting achievement. Others emphasise social inclusion and equality and are awarded based on financial need or other hardship

How to Apply for the Scholarship

For applying to the scholarships, candidates are needed to follow these steps:

Eligible and interested applicants can apply individually for any of the scholarships through an online portal. Candidates need to register them or log in to the university’s scholarship portal and fulfil all the required information asked in the application form.
