Planning your budget is essential for preparing to study in Sweden. Here’s an overview of the different costs you should include in your budget.

Application and tuition fees

Application and tuition fees are applicable to students who are not citizens of an EU/EEA/Nordic country or Switzerland studying at the bachelor’s or master’s level.
The application fee is SEK 900 which is an estimated 58000frscfa and 500 GHS. This fee is paid as part of your online application.
Tuition fees in Sweden vary depending upon the subject though the average fee for master’s programme is SEK 129,000/year which is about 8million frscfa or in Ghana Cedi will be 68 000 GHS. 
Note that bachelor programmes are generally less expensive.
Social sciences and humanities: SEK 80,000 – 110,000/year About 5million frscfa at the least and 42 000 GHS
Technical programmes and natural science: SEK 120,000 – 145,000/year
Architecture and design :SEK 190,000 – 270,000 /year

Living expenses
An average monthly student budget is about SEK 8,000 per month which is about 4200 GHS and 500000frscfa a month. Of course, your costs will vary on your personal choices and where you live. 
There are other costs such as Student Union fees, and books. Bear that in mind.
For those who would like to work while schooling, there are jobs for international students but limits on the number of working hours and you would also need to consider the language for daily interaction.
