The Richest Black Man King Mansa Musa 1st
A forgotten king who once ruled West Africa in the 14th century is named the richest person in history following a new inflation-adjusted list of the world's 25 wealthiest people.
Spanning 1,000 years and with a combined fortune of $4.317trillion, only three of the list's 25 are alive today. Mansa Musa obtained his wealth from his country's production of more than half the world's supply of salt and gold which contributed to his wealth, which he used to build large mosques that still stand today.
As per the writings of an Arab-Egyptian scholar- Al-Umari, Musa inherited his throne through an appointment after the king went on his pilgrimage to Mecca.
