Back-to-school Tips

Now that the summer holidays are almost over, and schools resume in a couple of weeks, what are your back - to - school tips? I'll like to approach this from two sides. A parent - teacher relationship and a student- parent bond. As a parent get to know and speak with the teachers who are left in charge with your children for over 6 hours on a daily. You make attempts to say hello and mean it. Hi Mrs, T, I called by to say, hello and to wish you the best with kids. As a parent, establish routines with kids. Get a television embargo for your house unless it's the weekend. You've got to stick to your guns. Check with your child what happened at school by not asking them as put. You could say, hey dear, saw your Maths book today before going to school; did you get to study Maths? I think children hate to be asked time and again what happened at school. I used to do ask that and my girl would tell me that I am always asking her the same question. I guessed right too, that she was bored and needed a different tactic which works. Implement a positive studying habit. If your child continually sees you in front of the screen that's where they'll want to be and will look at studying as a chore instead as an enjoyable process. There could not be anything that's as enjoyable as seeking to enhance your intellectual capacity. Most of all, make learning a fun process. Focus, discipline, practice and commitment are key definers of success. If your child is going to be new, take them to the school a few times to show them around before school begins. It creates a sense of familiarity. Teach them how to behave in class do not let them conjure it for themselves. Above all, tell them that their primary objective is to gain knowledge so that some day, they may become independent. I will end with this. Education is the only basket in which they should put all their eggs. To make it even more fun for kids inscribe a few words on pencils, and in pens to motivate them. I have attached examples. To end this, don't forget to pray for them..bless you!
