The Three Little Pigs (Ladybird Picture Books)

This book is about three grown up pigs who decide its about time to leave their homes and fend for themselves. Their mother cautions them about the big bad wolf who would love to eat tasty pigs. She bids them farewell and they head off to their various destinations.

In disregard of what their mother had cautioned them about, the first little pig meets a man with straw and decides to build his house made of straw.

The second wolf met a man with sticks and still didn't think of the big bad wolf and went ahead with a house of sticks. The last little pig met a man with bricks and thought it was ideal to build with bricks.

As preempted, the big bad wolf came visiting and blew off the houses of the first two pigs with a mere huff and puff. And of course, he ate the pigs. It wasn't the case for the third smart pig who built his house out of bricks and had fun strategising to ruin the plans of the big bad wolf.

The big bad wolf won't let him be and climbed on his chimney to get down and eat her. Unfortunately, the brilliant pig boiled some water and when he dared and slid down the chimney he ended up in a pot of hot boiling water. That was the end of the big bad wolf.

Lesson: as we go through life, we are often warned of the dangers that may await us. But often times, we live in disregard of these dangers as though we were brainless.

Lesson 2: it is hard work building anything or anyone that would last a life-time. (no sweet without sweat).
