George Washington University Global Leaders Fellowship 2017

Scholarship value/duration: The award will cover up to 18 credit hours. The grantee is to provide funds from other sources for books, living, and other expenses, and must provide certification of this support. A Fellowship is renewable each year for a cumulative maximum of three years for Master’s candidates and up to five years for doctoral candidate. Eligibility: Students holding or intending to apply for an F-1 visa  and who are from the following countries or regions: China (PRC), Cambodia, Eastern Europe, Laos, Latin America, The Caribbean, Mongolia, Sub-Saharan Africa, U.S.S.R. Successor States, Vietnam, are eligible to apply. Grant supports journalism collaborations on climate, energy [Worldwide]

Clean Energy Wire  (CLEW) is offering three grants for the most promising international collaborative projects from at least two different countries on the topics of clean energy, climate policy and the shift to a low-carbon economy. Print and online features, investigative journalism and comparative reporting are eligible, but projects in other media/taking a multimedia approach will also be considered. Stories may be published in any language. The YOUNGO Global South Scholarships 2017

Individuals ages 18 to 35 can apply for a scholarship to attend this event. The  YOUNGO  Global South Scholarships offer complete financial support and capacity building training to participate at UNFCCC’s  23rd Conference Of Parties  (COP23) and  13th Conference Of Youth  (COY13) Nov. 2 to 18 in Bonn, Germany.  The program will also provide online training sessions, webinars, on-ground preparation and mentorship from experienced trainers, as well as opportunities for networking. Journalists can apply for the Chevening Scholarship Program

Chevening Scholarships are the global scholarship program funded by the U.K.'s  Foreign and Commonwealth Office  and partner organizations for outstanding scholars with leadership potential. The scholarships are offered for many fields of study, including journalism and media. The program provides full or partial funding for full-time courses at the postgraduate level, normally a one-year master’s degree, in any subject and at any U.K. university. Applicants must have an excellent undergraduate academic track record and two to five years of professional experience, in addition to being fluent in English.
