2015 is now gone and in retrospect, I feel like I let the year slipped away with an inclination on my part to put weight on trivial issues. I wasted valuable time on almost everyone else, but very little on me, my plans and my year's goals, fortunately, I feel happy. Irrespective of the fact that I focussed attention on being the bridge on which others could cross, I managed to assemble enough energy to see my targets obtained; a journey which took me three years to accomplish with an extra additional year of abeyance. The abeyance was worth it; my little one was able to read, I was able to rebuild me and to understand who I am. The retreat saw me delete all those who clogged my mind and made me unable to live in the present- to enjoy the essence of the now. I got rid of friends who were rather negative in every aspect, and in every issue-I read beautiful books like The Alchemist, Americanah, Half of a Yellow Sun, To Kill a Mockingbird, and One Day My Soul Just Opened Up: 40 Days ...

They make carrot cake the right way in Brazil: with chocolate on top!RECIPE:3 medium sized carrots3 eggs¾ cup vegetable oil2 cups flour1.5 cup sugar1 tablespoon baking powder1 cup sugar1 cup chocolate powder¼ cup milk50g butterAdd the carrots, the eggs and the oil in a blender and blend it for at least 5 minutes. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar and baking powder. Pour the carrot-egg-oil puree in to the dry ingredients mixture. Place in a 8-inch cake pan and bake for 45min at 350 F.For the icing, just mix sugar, chocolate powder, milk and butter in a saucepan and mix it well.
