"Miracle in Seat 11A": British Man's Extraordinary Survival in Air India Crash

  In what can only be described as a miraculous escape, 40-year-old British national Vishwash Kumar Ramesh has emerged as the sole survivor of the devastating Air India crash that claimed over 200 lives yesterday in Ahmedabad, western India. Air India flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner bound for London Gatwick, crashed less than a minute after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad. The aircraft was carrying 242 passengers and crew members, including 169 Indian nationals, 53 British citizens, seven Portuguese nationals, and one Canadian. The Miracle Survivor Ramesh, who was seated in seat 11A, somehow managed to walk away from the wreckage with injuries to his face, chest, and feet. Speaking from his hospital bed, he described the harrowing moments after the crash. "It all happened so quickly," Ramesh told the Hindustan Times. "When I got up, there were bodies all around me.
